Capturing Fleeting Moments in a Picture

Nikita Shrestha Shakya is a wildlife photographer based in Nepal. She began taking professional photography assignments in 2013. She started with portraits, but gradually found herself drawn towards wildlife and nature photography. Spending time in jungle among birds, animals has become a therapy for her; source of peace and inspiration.

Alongside photography, Nikita is a psychologist with a Master’s Degree in Psychology specialization in Clinical Psychology. She works full-time as a Psychological counselor at a school and also practices counselling and training at Soothe Services Pvt. Ltd., supporting clients of all ages and backgrounds. Both photography and psychology have taught her patience, empathy, and the value of curiosity, she believes that approaching every endeavor with care and dedication brings fulfillment.

Nikita also licenses her images and video clips for brands, campaigns, and conservation projects. She welcomes professional collaborations, wildlife tours, and photography stays in Nepal, and is always happy to share her knowledge and experiences.
